A New Album Inspired By Edgar Allen Poe's Poetry

New Album Announcement!

Greetings,

I’m happy to announce the release of my latest album, “Musical Visions from the Edgar Allan Poe Songbook.” It’s a cinematic and ambient sound journey through nine original instrumental works inspired by the poetry of Poe.

This album emerges from my collaboration with singer-songwriter Willard Overstreet, who has set several Edgar Allan Poe poems to music. Themes from those vocal pieces appear in this collection. While Overstreet’s companion album is finished, a release date has not yet been announced.

Recent press for Musical Visions from the Edgar Allan Poe Songbook:

  • “Cinematic elements with ambient textures… a beautifully immersive soundscape.” — Ambient Soundscapes
  • “A true musical journey.” — Moon Phase Radio
  • “Peaceful and beautiful... filled with spiritual and ethereal moods.” — Muséanima
  • “Rare grace… an introspective journey into the depths of your being.” — Boulimique
  • “Impressive exotic sounds and melodic lines… deeply grounded and meditative.” — New Indie Radar

Now available on Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, and more.

Hammersmith Station

You’ll find my latest band project on streaming services under the name Hammersmith Station. Hammersmith Station currently has two singles on the streaming services: Pink China and Silk Road. The third single Jasmine is scheduled for release on April 25th.

My work with Hammersmith Station spans chill, pop, and world music genres. The first group of works weaves elements of Asian instruments with the band. It’s been a lot of creative fun.

Sheet Music - Ae Fond Kiss

I stumbled upon a collection of Scottish Folk Songs which included "Ae Fond Kiss" by Robert Burns. Developing an improvisation for this piece, I've transcribed my performance into sheet music of this beautiful melody.

Notes From The Studio

April is keeping me busy working with several churches in Ventura County for upcoming Easter Week services.

I’ve updated my home studio to make access to my Hautpwerk Organ setup much more convenient. I look forward to hopefully sharing more organ performances on YouTube later this summer.

While my last two albums have veered into compositional ambient works, I’ve recently finished recording nearly a dozen solo piano works. These are scheduled for monthly singles throughout the remainder of 2025.
